Application<\/strong>. The installation company, manufacturer or another responsible party submits an application to a designated conformity assessment body.<\/p>\n Submission of documents.<\/strong> A set of technical documents is prepared for the procedure. Depending on the selected conformity assessment route, it may include:<\/p>\n Inspection of documents and equipment.<\/strong> Specialists review the technical documentation, inspect the installed equipment and perform the necessary tests. They examine the control systems, electrical equipment, safety devices, doors, drive system, stopping accuracy and other operating characteristics.<\/p>\n Completion of the assessment.<\/strong> When the lift meets the applicable requirements, the conformity assessment body issues the document specified by the selected procedure. The installation company then draws up a declaration of conformity, after which the conformity marking is affixed to the lift.<\/p>\n Placing the lift into service.<\/strong> Once installation, inspections and documentation have been completed, the lift may be handed over to the owner for operation in accordance with the established procedure.<\/p>\n Conformity assessment before a lift is placed into service does not replace subsequent monitoring of its technical condition.<\/p>\n During operation, lifts may be subject to:<\/p>\n A periodic technical inspection is carried out once every two years. An extraordinary inspection may be required following an accident, reconstruction, modernisation or an extended interruption in operation.<\/p>\n Once the specified service life has expired, an expert examination is carried out to determine whether the lift may continue to operate safely and under which conditions.<\/p>\n During inspections, particular attention is paid to electrical systems, protective devices and operational safety.
