Condominium associations and developers
In an apartment building, the installation of a new lift or major refurbishment of existing equipment requires approval from the co-owners and the preparation of the relevant technical documentation.
For a condominium association, the decision may be recorded in the minutes of a general meeting of co-owners. The funding arrangements, scope of work, design organisation, equipment supplier and installation contractor can then be agreed.
